ICT Print Media at Tamaki College

ICT Print Media is an academic course that focuses on applying Print Media design skills and ICT within the context of technology education.

Students use industry standard ICT software, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and apply the design process to develop solutions based on a specific design brief that is developed by the student.

The course aims to develop skills and knowledge in planning, critical analysis, design, production and evaluation using a range of ICT peripherals.

The following blogs are examples of student work (some requesting feedback on different aspects of design), interviews and completed portfolios.

Yearbook WT Design Brief

Conceptual Statement
In order to pay tribute to the Year 13s of 2008, it is a tradition that Tamaki College celebrates the departing of the Year 13 by holding a graduation, a leavers dinner and also giving them a picture and a year book. In order to celebrate their departure, my client Ms Moore, who is the Deputy Principal of Tamaki College, wanted me to design the year book for 2008, in remembrance of the final year they spent at Tamaki College.
My client wanted to me to report back to her frequently for feedback on the yearbook before approving of it and sending designs to the printers to get it printed in bulk before the graduation day of December 4th 2008.

What a fantastic record you have left behind of your peer group. I can't believe that you guys have left school since I taught some of you when you were 5 and 6 years old in ICT - wow! I do hope that you realise the dreams you have articulated in this year book.
